Why local matters for concrete
Snohomish County is not one soil type. Parts of Marysville and Everett sit on soft alluvial fill that consolidates for decades. Lake Stevens and Mukilteo have slopes where drainage decides everything. Out toward Arlington and Stanwood you get farm ground that turns to soup by November.
A contractor pouring here every week already knows what a lot needs before the tape comes out. One driving up from another county quotes the same base section everywhere and hopes.
